Jay, Dainty moved from these premises to South Yarra. Sichuan House is nowhere near as good.

I wish I could agree but ... we ate at Sichuan House today after seeing Anthony Bourdain's television review, and we found the food to be downright disgusting. All three dishes (Sichuan Chicken, pork spare ribs, spicey string beans) were doused in salt and swimming in grease ... maybe this is someone's taste, but it's hard to conceive that anyone could enjoy this food. Servings were generous, and the staff was very pleasant... but the food was pretty awful. Who knows, maybe your mileage will vary but our advice is: Skip it.

Awesome review - love the photography. Saw that episode of "No Reservations" on the weekend and said to The Bride we must go to Dainty Sichuan on our next visit to Melbourne. Off now to check the AFL fixtures and airline specials!!
