Back when I was living at home, mum would always pack a pipping hot breakfast in my bag before leaving for work. Whether it was an egg and bacon sandwich or sweet potato porridge, it kept me satisfied on my commute to the city.
But having moved out, breakfast can be a bit of struggle. There’s barely enough time to cook anything, let alone eat it. By the time I’m in the office, my stomach is aching and doing flips. These days I make do with a coffee on the way to work and toast when I’m in the office. But routine can be a bore and I’m always on the lookout for new ways to fill my belly in the morning.

Table of Plenty Muesli Bread
Table of Plenty’s Muesli Bread is one interesting breakfast idea that’s caught my eye. When the lovely Elise from Polkadot PR emailed us about it, I wasn’t quite sure what it was. A giant muesli bar? A loaf of bread infused with muesli? Or a bread roll topped with muesli perhaps?

Breakfast in a box
Turns out I was wrong on all the above.
Muesli breads are plump bread pockets made from wholegrains and dried fruit. The texture is very similar to pita bread, only thicker and juicer. They are designed to be a healthier alternative to muffins and cruppets and do keep you full for a fair few hours. They are easy to prepare too, simply toast on the lowest setting and either serve plain or with jam and cream cheese. Because they’re so quick, I pop them in the toaster while I’m getting ready in the morning and then eat it on the way to work.

Vanilla & Berries Muesli Bread
At a recommend retail price of $4.99, they are probably not the cheapest option in your supermarket. But compared to a daily takeaway breakfast on the way to work, it’s well worth having a spare packet handy in your fridge or pantry.

Malted Barley Muesli Bread
Muesli Breads are availble in three flavours – Cinnamon Fruit, Vanilla & Berries and Malted Barley.
Table of Plenty Muesli Bread is stocked at Woolworths and Safeway supermarkets. For more information, please visit www.tableofplenty.com.au.

Like the attention to detail the PR company had put in with the breakfast-in-a-box. Would so not have expected a utensil for spreading the jam, let alone a metal one.
Impressive huh? It’s all in the little details.
wow.. a complete package of healthy breakfast.. all in one box.. looks good for travelling purpose too..
I just tried the cinnamon fruit ones with jam for the first time. They’re sooo nice!!! I think I’ve found a new favourite breakfast
