With its wedge shape design, Preshafruit juices are hard to miss in the juice aisle at the supermarket. They may just look like another boutique juice company selling the same old juice with fancy new packaging, but take a closer look and you’ll realise that Preshafruit has created bottled juice the way it’s meant to taste.

Preshafruit juices - Granny Smith, Royal Gala and Apple & Lemon
I’ve always wondered why bottled apple juice tastes nothing like real apples. Not only is it dark and toffee-like in colour, but the juice is unaturally sugary – even though the label promises there is no added sugar. But when juiced fresh at home, apple juice is wonderfully vibrant and tastes exactly like the fruit.
The team at Preshafruit will tell you it’s because the juice has been heated. And when you heat juice, no matter how gently, the taste, colour, smell and nutrient retention changes.
This is why Preshafruit juices are pressurised cold using an innovative High Pressure Processing system to give that ‘just picked’ fruit taste. This pressure inactivates the vegetative micro organisms (bacteria, yeasts and moulds) found in food without disturbing the flavours, vitamins and aromas. It is only through this sort of processing that the small subtleties between each fruit variety are realised.
One sip and you’ll know what I mean.
Each fruit flavour tastes exactly like what it’s mean to. Fuji tastes like a fuji, Royal Gala tastes like a royal gala and Pink Lady tastes like a pink lady. My favourite is actually the Apple and Lemon, which initially seemed like an odd combination, but surprised me with its subtle tartness.
Besides the taste, I really value that Preshafruit juices are made from 100% Australian fruit. This is important because a lot of juice in this country is imported as concentrate from overseas and ‘processed’ locally in Australia. Because of this last step, manufacturers have the right to call it Australian made. The fact remains, the juice is probably months old and has been injected with all sorts of preservatives to keep it fresh.
At around $3 a pop, Preshafruit juices are undoubtedly the new leader of the bottled juice pack. In fact, with each 350mL bottle, you are getting the goodness of four apples and twice the Vitamin C and antioxidants of regular juice. A steal if you ask me!

oooh… you had me at “juices are pressurised cold”. Hehe
Definitely will give it a try. Granny Smith first methinks =)
I’ve had these before. They taste good but they’re quite expensive considering what you get.
I can certainly see myself using these for cocktails and the like but it’s a little too rich for me for day-to-day drinking.
I’ve actually contemplated making an appletini with these juices. I have a bottle of pear vodka I brought back from the US last year – perhaps inspiration for a follow up post!
Very interesting! Actually, the packaging has got me – love the clear square bottles.
sounds like they’d be great for mixing with cocktails.
Ima definitely go out and try me some of these – (almost)clear apple juice, crazy!
My Fav juice…worth paying $3 a bottle.
They look like shampoo bottles than fruit juice!! Hehe!!
Hands down the BEST apple juice!
They had a 2 for $5 deal at Woolies the other week and the shelves were empty!
OMG…this juice is awesome!!! I bought two at the supermarket a couple of nights ago. Totally worth the $5. Apple juice that tastes just like the apple!!! Who would have thought?
Glad to know there’s other fans out there! I went to buy my favourite two flavours tonight at Woolies and both were sold out…
I did see an apple & strawberry flavour, wonder if that’s new. Has anyone tried?
yeah, i tried the apple and strawberry today (in fact, i’m still drinking it =P). it’s really quite good!! i suggest giving it a go. my favourite besides this is the royal gala. haven’t seen or heard of the apple and lemon before, though..

I have had it and it tastes really nice!! YUMM!
Just bought a One Litre wedge bottle of my Favourite Pink Lady juice at Thomas Dux Grocers for $5.
When I first tasted it, I fell in love but was a bit sad about the limited size of the bottle. I wanted a big bottle and now I’ve found a place that stocks them.
Delicious! My favourite is the Granny Smith.
[...] of the stuff. That said, ‘nothing but 20 apples’ is not as good as the juice from Preshafruit, which is still my go-to brand for apple [...]
