Great job to Mr and Ms Taste.
Ms Taste I like your style Chinese fried rice with Fish Sauce.
Mr Taste just one suggestion instead of Sriracha and Tomato sauce you can use pik pow sauce. It will give the redish color and a punch to fried lice. I would be gladly to eat both fried rice. Both are a winner..

Hi Simon! It's all about having the optimal meat/carb ratio ;)

Hi Simon! We'll make some spring rolls when we can afford to buy oil to deep fry in. Those damn oil companies and their greed grrr.

Hi Rilsta! I can only report the truth :P That bottle is going to keep us going until Costco opens. Then we will buy a bottle that will last us a lifetime.

Hi Ally! Another win for the chinese sausage ticket!

Hi Belle! Fried rice also needs change. Chinese sausage is the change we can believe in. Yes we can!

Hi Steph! I think the Chinese vs SE Asia comes to play here too. I grew up with my fried rice and she grew up with hers.

Hi Ja! It got burnt because I was too busy playing the internet haha. Cooking and internetting - a delicously deadly game

Hi Elodie! About sweet soy sauce, the funniest thing happened once at the chinese grocery. While shopping, Ms Taste has a change of heart and decides to return a bottle of sweet soy sauce to where it belongs. She leans down and places it safely on the bottom shelf. However the tiny purse/bag/thing she's got over her shoulder swings slowly around, taps one of the giant bottles on the bottom shelf which wobbles for an eternity, before gently falling on the floor 10cm below. The bottle cracks like an egg and the goo within oozes out ever so slowly. We go find someone to help and by the time we return, there is a giant pool of goo, still slowly expanding. Oh to see that look on her face again as she watched that bottle wobble, unforgettable.

Hi Nooschi! Fried rice without flavour is booooring, might as well just go eat steamed rice :P

Hi Suz! Exactly, what sort of weirdo would add lettuce to their fried rice. C'mon!

Hi Sof! Never tried fried rice with tomato sauce! It is amazing! Didn't you come with us that time where we ate fried rice at that holiday place?

Hi Clekitty! Another vote for chinese sausages! A resounding landslide victory on the back of a strong showing from the chinese sausage.

I've never tried fried rice with tomato sauce before but it actually looks nice.

I like your meat, but fried rice is ALL about the soy sauce for me (and sweet soy sauce is a disgusting abomination) so Ms. Taste wins, no question about it!

Oh I think I would like both depending on my mood...Ms. Taste's reminds me of what my Mum would make for me when I was younger with the more subtle flavour, and Mr. Taste's appeals to my tastebuds now with the kecap manis, chilli and chinese sausage!

It's a close call (the Chinese sausage swayed me too). But I'm a traditionalist, so Ms Taste's version is the winner!
