But lately, I’ve been treating myself to all things home grown, free range and pesticide free.
What prompted the change?
While not everyone is a believer, I do think that organic food tastes better than the non-organic variety. It reminds me of how great food used to taste when I was a child. And it’s not as expensive as most might think!

The Organic Produce Cafe in Surry Hills has become a favourite haunt for me. There’s an all day breakfast selection, as well as a tempting lunch menu filled with hearty soups and sandwiches.

Toby's Estate Cappucino - $3
Organic Produce Cafe makes a fantastic Risotto Al Fungi. The highlight of the risotto is definitely in the mix of mushrooms, which are garnished with spring onions, rosemary and parmesan to create a very earthy and rich dish.

Risotto Al Fungi - $16
My only gripe with Organic Produce Cafe is that you do need to wait quite a fair while for your order. The last time I was here, the wait time was close to 40 minutes. So I wouldn’t recommend it for diners looking for a quick bite!
